Accessibility Statement

This site was built to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings. Here is specifically what that means, and how to tell us if we have got something wrong.

Standard we aim for

We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Every page is tested with automated accessibility tooling on each change, and reviewed manually with a screen reader.

What we have done

  • Text size and contrast. Body text is set at 17px rather than the more common 16px, and no text on this site falls below a 7:1 contrast ratio against its background — well above the 4.5:1 minimum the standard requires.
  • Zoom and reflow. The site works at 200% browser zoom without loss of content, and pinch-zoom is never disabled.
  • Keyboard.Everything is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring. A “skip to main content” link is the first item on every page.
  • Screen readers. Semantic headings, landmarks and labels throughout. Form errors are announced, and every input has a real label rather than a placeholder standing in for one.
  • Motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are disabled automatically — content fades rather than moves, and nothing scrolls on its own.
  • Touch targets. Interactive elements are at least 48×48 pixels, and primary buttons larger still.
  • No motion or colour-only meaning. Nothing is communicated by colour alone, and no content requires hovering to reach.

Known limitations

The embedded map on our contact and location pages is provided by Google and we do not control its accessibility. For that reason it does not load until you choose to load it, and the full address, opening hours and phone number are always available as plain text next to it — so you never need the map to get the information.
