Temporary Wednesday Schedule
Wednesdays are currently reserved for emergency surgical cases, staff training, and continuing education. Routine and elective procedures are scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Emergency surgical availability on Wednesdays is subject to case review and surgeon availability.

Surgery For Pets is an outpatient veterinary surgical centre. We do not provide overnight hospitalisation or 24-hour emergency care.
We do not accept new after-hours emergency cases after 8:00 PM.
Patients requiring overnight hospitalisation, continuous monitoring, intensive care, or emergency treatment after 8:00 PM should be evaluated at a 24-hour emergency or specialty veterinary hospital.

We welcome after-hours surgical referrals from general practices, urgent care facilities, emergency hospitals and specialty hospitals when our surgical team is available.
Please text or email the patient's medical records, diagnostic results, imaging, current treatments and the recommended surgical procedure wherever possible, so our team can quickly determine whether the patient is an appropriate candidate for our outpatient surgical setting.

We will respond as soon as possible if we are available to take the case. If your pet is unstable, do not wait for our reply; go directly to the nearest 24-hour emergency hospital.

No. After-hours surgery is offered by availability only. Whether we can accept a case depends on the nature of the emergency, the availability of our surgical team, and whether the patient can be managed safely within an outpatient model. We will tell you quickly either way so you never lose time waiting.
Our scheduled hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We are not a 24-hour hospital. After-hours and weekend emergencies are handled by availability, so please text or email before travelling to us.
Yes. A male cat straining in the litter box and producing no urine is one of the few true emergencies in small animal medicine — it can become fatal within 24 to 48 hours. Do not wait to see if it resolves overnight. Seek care immediately.
You will receive a written estimate before anything begins, even in an urgent case. Our published price ranges give you the realistic bracket in advance. We would rather have the cost conversation up front than have you discover it afterwards.
